Understanding Minimally Invasive Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy, often referred to as keyhole surgery, is a minimally invasive surgical procedure on a joint in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage is performed using an arthroscope.

Instead of a large incision, we make small, button-hole sized incisions. This allows us to insert a tiny camera and specialized instruments directly into the joint.

This technique is commonly used for repairing meniscus tears, reconstructing ACLs, and treating shoulder dislocations.
